MBARARA CITY – In a move that signals a transformative era for financial inclusion in Western Uganda, Nyakayojo SACCO Limited has officially unveiled its new corporate logo. The unveiling took place during a high-profile Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the SACCO’s headquarters in Nyakayojo Division, Mbarara City, Western Uganda.
The rebranding marks a definitive shift toward modernizing the institution’s image, ensuring long-term sustainability and enhancing visibility in an increasingly competitive financial landscape.
A Vision of Transparency and Growth

Addressing an audience of delegates and partners, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Aligawesa Yakub, notes that Nyakayojo SACCO is a fastest growing SACCO in Uganda and attributed the SACCO’s robust growth to a synergy between oversight and execution.
“Our success is rooted in the dedication of the Board to ensure transparency and accountability,” Mr. Yakub stated. “This, coupled with a competent management team championing service delivery across all our seven branches, has positioned us as a leader in the sector.”
The new logo, described as “futuristic,” is designed to reflect this commitment to innovation. It incorporates inclusive features that mirror the SACCO’s mission of community empowerment, moving away from traditional aesthetics toward a look that suggests progress and technological readiness.
Endorsement from Industry Leaders

The event was graced by the Registrar of Cooperatives in Uganda, Mr. Bariyo Robert Barigye, who delivered a sobering yet encouraging keynote address. He noted that while hundreds of SACCOs are formed nationwide, only a handful achieve significant progress.
“Nyakayojo SACCO is doing commendable work. I urge the staff and Board to maintain high levels of professionalism and integrity,” Mr. Barigye said, highlighting that the community should embrace this opportunity to grow the institution to even greater heights.

Jacqueline Mbabazi, the Executive Director of the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda (AMFIU), served as the Guest of Honor. She lauded the SACCO for its strategic branding, noting that “setting the bar high” with a unique identity is essential for differentiation.
Beyond the visual rebrand, the meeting served as a roadmap for the SACCO’s next chapter. Ms. Mbabazi Jacqueline recommended two critical areas for future focus:
What SACCOS Need to do
- Technological Advancement: Leveraging data-driven reporting to attract international partners.
- Impact Storytelling: Documenting “human interest stories” from beneficiaries to provide tangible proof of how the SACCO is changing lives.
The inclusive nature of the AGM—bringing together delegates, partners, and community stakeholders—reinforced the core principle of member ownership, a sentiment echoed in the SACCO’s official motto: “United for Prosperity.”
As the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere was one of celebration. With a fresh identity and a clear mandate from both the regulator and industry experts, Nyakayojo SACCO Limited is now positioned to steer toward a brighter, more sustainable future for its members with desire to be the leading SACCO in western region
